2 ManTents a
re the perfect type of tent when a couple who loves the outdoors, wants to go camping. Why buy a larger sized tent than you need? That’s only extra expense that we don’t need right now. Of course, your old tent, if it’s in good shape, can do a world of good for someone in dire straights, such as those thousands of homeless people in Haiti. Check with your local chapter of The Red Cross, for instance, and they can tell you if there’s a need somewhere in the world for temporary living quarters such as a nice tent that can be for 2 men (or women of course) or a single person, with a bit of space for necessities. A tent is such an old form of shelter, used worldwide in a multitude of configurations and sizes.
If you are a bac
k to nature type of person and live in a country (or visiting one) that has a moderate climate, then a small tent that will accommodate one or two people is an inexpensive and wonderful way to get some shelter under the stars. Choose a tent of a colour that will blend in with nature. You would hardly want one in a fluorescent yellow or bright red. That would scare off the birds and other animals. Of course, if you are camped by a river with crocodiles (not recommended!) then a brightly coloured tent might be a good idea.
The advantages to buying a nice tent to fit the size of your needs is that you could either pack it into a backpack if you are on a hike, or in your car, where it won’t take up much space. Keeping the tent in your car is actually a great emergency idea also. And you can put one in your home as well in case there’s a natural disaster. Tents in general are extremely versatile. There are types for people who aren’t very handy. You can practically throw those types on the ground and they will spring open and be set up in about ten seconds. That type is great for the mechanically challenged. Then there are complex tents that may require a bit of ingenuity and a few parts to set up. If there’s a person in your family that hates to read instructions, then one of those “insta” tents may work for you. The person that refuses to read the instructions for setting up a complex tent may be left in the dark long after you’ve gone to bed in the car! Get an easy to set up tent that’s compact and simple to put up. You’ll save yourself a lot of headaches.
If you are sitting there in your living room, planning a Summer holiday, think about a nice new tent as part of your supplies. Children love to play in the backyard in a tent, and this type of “camping” will keep them in your sight and safe. They can read a book by the light from a flashlight, or tell ghost stories, or eat homemade cookies.
There are endless possibilities for a small tent have you seen the range of coleman tents for instance? They are still making an excellent range of 1 man tents, 3 man tents and 6 man tents and while looking at buying a tent check out the 2 man tents vango terra nova which is also getting good reviews. Perhaps one of the best things about a tent for two is that it is so inexpensive to stay in one. No hotel expenses, and you travel around and see the countryside and meet so many different people. You don’t have to shell out tons of money for an RV, either. And, where would you park that humungous thing during the rest of the year? 2 man tents are a super idea for either the occasional camper, a person who doesn’t have too much money but wants a nice holiday, or a person who just likes simple things, well done. And a 2 person tent will fill all of those requirements.
