I’m looking to go camping this summer in Colorado. We were hoping to just have an open park where we can just hike around and then pitch a tent where we wanted for cheap. I can’t find anything like that. I might just be looking for the wrong thing, but I just want to go camping with a week with my friends in a tent, not in a lodge or site with an optional hot tub or whatever.

Me and my friends are looking for a place to go camping for spring break that has fishing, jet ski rentals, boat rentals, hiking, mountain biking, tent camping and other possible things. Must be in CAlifornia or NEvada or ARizona.

I am considering traveling up to Oregon and Washington this summer for a week of camping, hiking, etc. I already have a tent that folds into a handheld carrying case and it sleeps 4. I would only need one that sleeps 1-2 people (possibly having another person going). It does not have to be very expensive, but I would like to know what kinds are on the market that I can be put into a piece of luggage or even on in a bag as a carry-on. I am going to be taking the bare essentials for my outdoor excursion, so I am not worried possibly paying for another suitcase to go on the plane. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I am an experienced distance hiker, but I’ve never pitched a tent in the snow before. I’ll be hiking around Slovakia over Christmas and New Years. I can dress warmly enough, but is there a specific kind of tent I need to buy? Or sleeping bag? And anything else I should think about?
Advice from experienced outdoorsmen much appreciated!

What do I use to carry a tent, sleeping bag, water and some minor things like a little notebook and trailmix alone, while hiking? Well I’m not completely alone I always bring my dog hiking but ya know what I mean. Thanks.
and what tent is best for 1 person and her dog, smallest possible?

Yeah I am wanting to know if such a thing exists. I’m not a rugged outdoors-man or anything, but I take nature photography and I need something to wear with a little versatility. It needs to be flexible, comfortable and very high quality. Also important it needs to look good. A lot to ask I know.
I have been finding lots in terms of boots. Unfortunately I hate boots, I think they are really uncomfortable (not enough flexibility in my foot and ankle) and most of what I have been finding are work boots which are also ugly. Hiking boots not only look like tent covers, but I have heard that they wear down really quickly in pavement.
I got in an argument with the woman at the shoe store because she told me that there is no such thing as a waterproof all-terrain shoe and I would need to buy a pair of boots. I said that I couldn’t possibly be the only nature enthusiast in the world who dislikes boots.
Basically I want to be able to wear them about town (without looking dumb) and also not worry about going on trails or muddy terrain to find nice photographs. They don’t have to be fully waterproof, I’m not planning on standing in rivers or anything… but it would be nice to not have my socks get soaked if I walk through a puddle.
I am willing to spend a fair amount on them, up to 0 if they are good shoes.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
