Ok so me and my friend are going camping for a couple of days in wales, we are leaving on the 7th aug. But it has become apparent i dont have the 2 man tent that i thought i did… So i am looking too buy a another one.
It needs to be fairly good standard, easy to assemble etc… but i dont know if i should buy new or 2nd hand, i dont have all too much money to put into this either… So assuming i want a cheapish one, what site should i buy off or shop??
Any suggestions would be nice, Thanks.

My girlfriend of about 2 months and I are going away this afternoon for a bit of camping in the hills.
We’ve been planning the trip for about a week and a half, and I’ve made everything to measure for two. We have a two man tent. Enough food for two, two bottles of vodka, two of bourbon and a bucket load of lemonade.
I have this all organised, packed into my car and ready to go.
This morning she rang me up and told me that we were going to bring her best girlfriend along. Which makes our two…three!
I can’t fit her in the car along with her gear, None of the supplies make sense anymore, and to make it worse we might be joined by the girl’s hillbilly cousin and a bunch of his mates once we’re there.
G/F has no objections at all – loves the idea.
I thought this was gonna be our weekend…THE weekend, if you catch the drift. I made allowances for that eventuality too.
I was looking forward to it. Now I’m just rather pissed off

basically i was wondering are there any laws stopping me and my friends going camping in this woods near me? its like a reservoir with loads of woods and fields around it, and it would be at nite, a small probably 2 man tent and not many people walk that way.
do i need to get permission? i really don’t think any people are even going to notice we are there :L but please tell me xx

I am leaving in september and going for 6 months. Ive never backpacked before and i plan on going throughout the whole country. My girlfriend is coming with. For anyone that has backpacked S.A. before any tips would be greatly appreciated. As for gear aswell, im thinking of getting a cheap canadian tire 2 man tent, for 29.99 and just a tarp aswell, would this be sufficent? and a 60 litre backpack? Would this be enough? Is there lots of campgrounds to whip out a tent? would it be better to just go from hostel to hostel? As you can tell i have lots of questions so gimmie what ever you got. Thanks for your time.
Right. At the weekend me and my mate crashed a party in the middle of a field, it was a party with about 9 boys from my year, the hot ones (; And we were messing about all night with them and we were getting loads of attention which of course we liked (: But this one guy kept asking me to sleep in the 2 man tent with him so i did cause i didn’t really think it a big deal. We were talking together for hours and i saw a different side of him, he made sure i was warm and gave me loads of clothes to wear (we had no idea we would end up staying so we didn’t bring any stuff) and made sure i was all comfortable and stuff and of course, he ended up kissing me (: But im not really sure if it counts as ‘getting off’ it lasted about 6 seconds and we used tongues and all (; But i pulled away because i got all embarassed and scared i wasn’t doing it right, because im never sure on how to kiss properly. After i pulled away he asked if i was okay but then he got up out the tent and sat down with everyone else. Im not sure if i upset him or pissed him off. In the morning we were messing about and all and he said i looked good in his clothes and everything (; But now i dont know what to say to people if they ask (because they most likely will) Does it count as a kiss or getting off or whatever you call it? right.. theres this guy. a couple of weeks ago. me and him got together, and i gave him a handjob and he fingered me. this was in a 2 man tent with 4 of us altogether. it was all okay, and no one knew what we were doing until he gave it away and asked his mate "where should i cum, if im in a tent being tossed off by the girl i like".. they both clicked on. and were disgusted with me. i was only 14 at the time. that got around, and everyone knows about it. ive turned 15 now, and earlier i had sex with him without protection. i have a heart condition where if i get pregnant it causes to much pressure on my heart and i have the risk of dying because i havent had the operation yet.

Okay this may be long but please try and answer.
My friends birthday is on the 19th and she’ll be 16, and me and a few mates were planning to do a camping out night for her party. There would be four guys and three girls. We are all 15 but a few of us are nearing onto 16 very soon. We were planning to camp out on a recreation ground near her house and there would be alcohol too.
So I said this to my Mum, explained the details…… and she isn’t letting me go.
These were her reasons:
1) Boys and girls, in a tent, do not mix well (there will only be one 8 man tent).
2) My Mum was talking to my friends mum and she said "Thank you for all the times you’ve let my daughter stay at your ex-husbands house." – but she’s never stay at my dads house only my mums. So my mum is concerned that there’s been some sneaking about between us all and she doesn’t know if I say I’m going somewhere and don’t, but I’ve never done that and never will (she’s my mum I wouldn’t lie to her!). Also it seems like my friends using my house as a cover for where she’s staying.
3) She also said that she’s never met half of the people that are going so she thinks if she knew them more then it would be easier.
Is it me or is this a bit over the top? I don’t think it’s a real reason and she’s done this to me soooo many times. Also I have a boyfriend, who she knows about and has met, so I don’t get why she’s concerned about there being guys there.
I dunno, I don’t think I’m too young to be doing that, many people I know go to clubs and stuff so it seems like nothing! Have I go the wrong idea and am I too young?

there is an out of town party i was invited to. i invited my friend and told him it was a camping thing and he said he wanted to go and he would bring the tent and give me a ride on his motorbike.
that was 3 weeks ago.
2 weeks ago he said he can only get a two man tent and i said " well there’s only two of us so it’s ok right?" and he said yes but seemed weird, so i assumed he didn’t wanna share a tent with me.
so i sent him an email last week asking what time he wanted to go to the party (about 45mins out of town) and if he was ok sharing the tent.
he texted me back 5 days later saying he might not go anymore but would still let me use his tent.
this all seemed fishy to me so i said " ok let me know what you decide." he was also my ride and it was too late to ask someone else since it’s a popular party amongst our friends.
yesterday i texted him saying " did you decide?" he said " i think i’ll go." so i said " ok let me know where and when to meet you."
he didn’t reply. so today i said " i think i’m going to sleep under the stars, so dont worry about sharing he tent but let me know if i can still get a ride."
he said " ok we’ll talk about it tomorrow."
UHHHH tomorrow is the party! I don’t wanna wait around all day to hear from him he’s not going anymore. and it’s a picnic/bbq type party, not a kegger so i would like to be there in the afternoon sometime.
am i being paranoid or should i ask around for another ride?
btw – we’re in our mid 20′s…. i think he’s acting about 16.

Have you ever had a night out with freinds or family that were so terrible you look back on them thinking they were priceless in a good way? For example ages ago me and my friends went camping, and if i remember corectly it was a saturday, and i had been partying since thursday so by the time we were all walking up to the woods i was pretty burnt out. We set up the tent and aranged a camp fire. there was 5 of us and there was only a 2 man tent, wich we didnt think to be an issue till later on. Me and a few m8s went into the tent to hot box it while the rest tended to the fire. By the time i came out the tent i was baked. And due to the sleep deprivation and booze I started to see the most insain stuff like the leaves on the ground being hands and seeing random faces in the bushes and in the tree’s, then i fort back to the film i saw recently called SHROOMS and it really didnt help matters but i tryed to keep my cool ( apart from when i got lost lol) few hours later we decided to bed down, it was unbeliveably cramped and cold and i didnt have a sleeping bag and neither did 3 other people. I batteld on and fort… lets try and sleep. While having a wide range of mad nightmares I woke up to a sound of "drip,drop,drip,drop" and i fort ah its only raining now worrys were in a tent it will pass, while i was shivvering my arse off. Then only to be awoken by a wet feeling on my face and i realised yes , the tent was infact not as waterproof as it boasted and the whole tent began to flood. all 5 of us were laying in about an inch of water. Considering the tempreture it wasnt good, we decided to head off at 6am and i fort the ordeal was over… but… it was far from over for me… i decided to take a different route home from the others to save time but in my hungover and tired/slightly drunk and almost hypothermic state, i took a wrong turn and ended up totaly inbedded in dence forrest in the middle of nowhere, about 4 hours later of falling over and being horribly lost thinking " im gona die" i managed to end up in bletchenly, wich was 3 towns away, i decided to be a man… so I called up the only person I knew who would be awake and sober at this time and could drive… so i called my mummy on reverse call ( dont lauf lol i really had enuff of that day), and forever now I will know… NEVER TO GO CAMPING!!!… but I will remember it for the rest of my life cos of its funness and stupidity lol!! any storys like this guys?
me and my friend and a couple of guy friends are going camping this friday, and i was only just invited by my friend. She says "hey you know this friday im camping? well im bringing my two man tent so if you come at least you have somewhere to camp 
" and i was thinking oh yay me and her in the tent! but then she went on to say "But im in a 4 man tent, with brian and david and davids pet leopluradon!" in a way which meant she was saying it in a joking way but still saying it seriously. so why doesnt she want me to share the tent with the 3 of them? i know she was being sarcastic with the leopluradon, but if its a 4 man tent…. why must i sleep on my own in the 2 man? and my friend isnt the type to want all the attention to herself, and im very hurt that she doesnt want me to join their tent 
i would confront her but shes the type to go angry at me for asking.
